Are you a highly motivated teacher of biology with a passion for your subject?

The science facilities include eight teaching labs and a dedicated science computer classroom in a pleasant and supportive environment. The department is very well supported by two dedicated Science Technicians who assist in the preparation of resources and equipment.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join our distinctive and energetic school.

De Aston enjoys an outstanding reputation based on academic success and a friendly and positive atmosphere. GCSE English results in 2018 put the English department significantly above the national average and also significantly above the Lincolnshire average for English. This has been the case twice in the last two years. The department has a high level of success also at A level.

The Head of Department was awarded Secondary Lincolnshire Teacher of the Year 2018 and was shortlisted for the TES English Teacher of the Year 2018 and as such can provide excellent guidance to a colleagues starting out in the profession. The department has also been awarded The Good Schools Guide award for Progress of Boys in English.

In addition, the department runs a very successful extracurricular provision including a debating team who have debated in the House of Lords and a Shakespeare Society who perform each year at the Drill Hall Theatre in Lincoln.
